Plein Air Summer Series of the PNW
This summer I finally made space for something I've longed to do, more plein air painting!
Plein air is French for "in the open air", and means painting directly from the source outside.

I purchased a proper plein air set-up (which includes a tripod, lightweight easel and pallet) with the intention to set out to beautiful locations and paint. It has been a challenge and a joy, and I hope to do more and more.

One of my favorites above, on the Quinault River. I did hike in and ford the river for this view. Perhaps my most daring location!
I have six plein air landscape paintings from around the PNW.

Quinault River Oil Painting, Original 6x9

Eld Inlet Oil Painting - Original Painting 6x8

Pend Oreille River, Dover Bay Oil Painting, 6x8 Original Art

Orcas Island, 6"x8" Original Oil Painting
