This oil painting was inspired this summer while hiking in the Goat Rocks Wilderness in Washington State. An immensely beautiful area southeast of Mt. Rainier. From the summit of Old Snowy looking to the southeast you see the jagged Gilbert Peak. 

Washington state has so many beautiful mountains. The beauty of this place and the light on these dramatic peaks is incredible.

This oil painting was inspired this autumn hiking at Mt. Baker from Artists Point in Washington State. A stunning alpine wonderland! This vista is from the chains lakes loop trail looking back towards Mt Shuksan which fully commands your attention in it's grandeur and lines.
