This oil painting is part of my summer series of plein air works.
Each painting was painted on site in the elements, unlike many of my other works which I paint in the studio.
This one was on the NW corner of Lake Pend Oreille in Dover Bay Idaho. Overlooking the mountains to the west, catching their reflection on Dover Inlet. On this adventure painting, it rained a little but the mountains stayed in view below the summer storm clouds.
