Painting connects me to something bigger, something beyond myself... The purpose for me to paint is for that connection. The finished paintings are then just a symbol of that living connection and serve to inspire others to access the same within themselves.
I find power in painting knowing they hold the message of creative energy and infinite potential. I feel the water holds that energy too, endless shapes and forms, always changing. A reflection of the power, peace and aliveness in me and the never ending movement of the soul and self.
My art is not just pictures of the ocean but portals that invite peacefulness and solitude, an invitation to take deep breaths and reminders to harness the powerful energy available to everyone.
